A story sparked by an ancient book.

An archaeological team X, descendants of the five great families

As a descendant of one of the five great families, Ke Qiuxin has a duty to suppress the Forbidden Book and protect the world.

Qin Guifei, from three thousand years ago; Li Li, whose legs were crippled out of jealousy; the Red Thread Woman, who was forced to swallow a red-thread love curse by her lover's mistress... Ke Qiuxin's mission is to send them all where they belong.

Human resentment gives rise to spirits.

Spirits give rise to resentment.

Again and again, without end.
