The Mysterious Guest on the Dating Show Is an Esports God

[The aloof, abstinent esports god × the theatrical, infamously controversial actress] Xia Weiyao is known in the industry for having more haters than fans. People dismiss her as a pretty face and a mere ornament, believing she has nothing going for her but her stunning looks. What no one expects is that she’s a devoted fan of esports superstar Shen Xingchi. Her main account maintains the decorum expected of a proper actress, but her secret account is packed with thousands of posts about Shen Xingchi, each accompanied by comments like, “My husband is just too perfect!” From a keyboard and mouse pad matching his, to a mailbox Shen Xingchi once touched, she’ll buy it all without hesitation. Sent by her manager to a dating reality show to clean up her image, Xia Weiyao declares righteously, “I, Xia Weiyao, would rather jump off a cliff than pair up with any of the male guests on this show!” But as soon as she learns that the sixth mystery guest is esports superstar Shen Xingchi, she clings to the director’s leg. “I was being immature before. Please, you have to pair me with Shen Xingchi!” * “Shen Xingchi, your in-game ID is Muyao. Does it have any special meaning?” He hesitates, then gives Xia Weiyao a long look. “It doesn’t mean anything special.” Only later does she discover a note in his phone titled “Adoring Weiyao,” filled with all her likes and preferences. * Shen Xingchi: “When we were young, you saved me from the darkness.” Xia Weiyao: “I’m honored to be the one you’ve loved all along.”
