The Phoenix Perches on the Palace Wall

How would you describe Su Su? Xiao Liu said, “She's a person of unwavering consistency: she consistently commits heinous acts!” Er Wa said, “She's willing to risk her life: other people's lives, so she doesn't have to risk her own.” Jiang Jingshuo said, “Well... I guess she's human.” Su Su couldn't care less what other people thought. After all, if she could settle things with her fists, she wasn't going to waste words. Her life could certainly be called eventful. She went from a greedy commoner to a ruthless bandit, then to a cowardly soldier, before transforming into the Tiger Might General, whose name struck terror into the enemy. Think that's the end of it? Next, she became an idle court official, then a Turkic princess, and finally the empress of that rascal Jiang Jingshuo. You think that's the end of it? No, no, no... Su Su's life was never meant to be ordinary! “Who do you think you are? Do you know who I am? The Empress! And who's the Empress? The emperor's stepmother! I don't care what consort you are. If you don't behave, I'll beat you to a pulp!” “Whose stepmother did you say you were?” Jiang Jingshuo asked with a smile, the corners of his mouth curling up as he watched Su Su brag without provocation. “Your Majesty, you've got me all wrong! I was asking her, ‘Am I the emperor's empress?’” Su Su shyly took Jiang Jingshuo's hand. “Of course you are my empress, the one and only, irreplaceable.” Su Su smiled with satisfaction. Now that's a boy who knows what to say! Truth be told, I'm the same. From beginning to end, there's only you.
