The Frail Hostage Prince Is Cherished by the Empress

Palace Version: In her previous life, she was the emperor's eldest princess, loved by all. Later, she became the empress who ruled the land. She lived to the age of twenty-five, when a grave illness claimed her life. Her greatest regret was never having truly loved someone. Given another chance at life, she decided to give up the struggle for fame and power and find someone to spend her life with, growing old together in love. But little by little, she discovered that beneath all that affection lay far too many secrets no one knew. Romance Version: The eldest princess felt that in her previous life she'd had everything she could want, except that in the end, she was still single. Among all those promising young men, however, she only had eyes for the frail hostage prince from the Northern Kingdom, who was on the verge of death. So she launched an all-out campaign to win him over. The eldest princess declared, “I want to marry you!” The hostage prince, Shen Yu, cried out in alarm, “I'm honored by your favor, Your Highness, but the imperial physician says I won't live past twenty-five.” The eldest princess beamed. “What a coincidence! It seems we're truly made for each other. I won't live past twenty-five either, so we can be buried together!” The hostage prince was speechless. “...You really don't have to.” Other Version: To be added…
