Journey to the West: Beginning with the God of Wealth Descending to the Mortal World

After becoming the biological brother of the Martial God of Wealth, who has descended to the mortal world, Liu Lin helps him regain his place among the immortals. Through this connection, Liu Lin enters the Heavenly Court and becomes a local god who wants nothing more than to live forever.

But why is the place he’s assigned to govern called Flower-Fruit Mountain?

And why is there a monkey on the mountain called the Handsome Monkey King?

Thinking of the seventy-two demon kings surrounding the mountain, Liu Lin cautiously uses ten thousand years’ worth of magic power to shut the dilapidated temple doors, then pats his body, which has long since become indestructible.

“Good thing they still don’t know the forty-ninth local god of Flower-Fruit Mountain has taken office.”
