The City of Heroes: Origins

In Light Era 2022 (Earth Year 5302), Zhang Qifeng, an archaeologist specializing in Lightball history, discovers a diary in Origin City by Central Lake. From it, he learns the history and secrets of Origin City. At the same time, Wang Xueying, the young lady of the Wang family, is also undergoing trials there. The Wang and Zhang families are sworn enemies. The Wang family was once one of the Four Great Families, but the Zhangs took their place three hundred years ago, sending the Wangs into decline and making the two families bitter foes. Now that members of both families have met in a dangerous place like Origin City, a fierce battle is inevitable.

The Zhangs are no match for the Wangs, so Zhang Qifeng is forced to reveal a location marked in the diary, claiming it holds a secret treasure. He then takes a group of Wang family members to search for it. But they accidentally trigger a mechanism, and he and Wang Xueying fall deep beneath Origin City, losing consciousness. A week later, the two are found unconscious in the ruins of Origin City by members of their respective families. Neither remembers anything from that week.

A year later, rumors spread that Wang Xueying ran away from home and abducted Zhang Qifeng, a direct descendant of the Zhang family. Others say the two fell in love at first sight in Origin City and eloped. But no one knows what really happened.

Sixteen years later, a young hero appears in Donghan City. He crosses the Hero's Road alone, yet conceals his remarkable abilities and works as a bodyguard for the Wang family. What could his true purpose be?
