As If Seen Only in a Glance

By the time Su Tang had finished washing up, Gu Yichen seemed to have fallen asleep, his breathing steady. Unable to resist, Su Tang crouched down and gazed blankly at Gu Yichen's handsome, beautiful face.

Just as she was lost in thought, Gu Yichen suddenly seemed to shiver in discomfort. Su Tang froze, then saw him press a hand against his abdomen.

Beads of sweat had appeared on Gu Yichen's forehead. Su Tang reached out to touch it, only to find him covered in a cold sweat. She panicked for a moment. Seeing Gu Yichen's forehead already beaded with sweat, she reached out to touch it again, only to find him covered in a cold sweat. Su Tang panicked as she watched Gu Yichen keep pressing a hand to his stomach.

She remembered that she had rushed off to give a lecture without having time to eat anything first, which had given her a stomachache.

“Yichen kept drinking one glass after another tonight. It must be an empty-stomach stomachache from drinking,” Su Tang murmured.

She gently touched Gu Yichen's face. “I think I've fallen deeply in love with you.”

Su Tang shook Gu Yichen, her voice filled with worry and urgency. “What's wrong?! Is your stomach hurting, Yichen?”

Gu Yichen had been half asleep when Su Tang shook him. The corners of his mouth lifted into a faint smile. He wrapped his long arms around her and drew her close. “I love you too, silly girl. Go to sleep.”

Su Tang's face turned bright red and her breath caught. Her cheek rested against Gu Yichen's firm chest, and she could almost hear his heartbeat.
