The Empress Only Loves Her Kingdom

After transmigrating, Xie Jinhua became the Empress of the Jing Dynasty, who had been attacked and left unconscious during the Mid-Autumn banquet. When she awoke, the emperor not only ignored her, but treated her as a punching bag. At last, she could take no more: to hell with etiquette and propriety, to hell with being the perfect empress. She would be the Wu Zetian of her age, caring only for wealth and the empire. In the Hall of Diligent Governance: The usually stern Ninth Imperial Uncle said, “Jin’er, you’ve certainly lived up to my expectations.” Xie Jinhua: “Hm? Something doesn’t seem right…” “Hey, hey, you’re sitting on the memorials I just finished reviewing.” “Which matters more, the memorials or me?” “The memorials!” “Which looks better, the memorials or me?” “You do, you do.” He immediately went around to the front of the desk, propped his chin on both hands, and stared at her. “Then look at me. I’m better-looking than the memorials.” She reached out and affectionately ruffled his hair. “Stop fooling around, Imperial Uncle.” A cunning little wolf turns into a sweet puppy; a timid empress rises to become the empress dowager who rules the empire.
