Dusk Dawns

My name is Li Shu. When I was five years old, my parents sold me into the palace to cure my younger brother's illness. I thought I would spend my whole life peacefully in this palace, but everything changed when I went to Jing'an Temple with the Ninth Prince. I once prayed to the gods and Buddhas in Jing'an Temple for three things: first, that my soul return to its hometown, second, that the people I care about be healthy and happy, and third, that I pray for eternal peace. Heaven and earth are unkind, treating all things as stupid dogs and letting them fend for themselves. Under the influence of the powerful, how many people died with hatred; under the desire, how many families were ruined; under the conspiracy, how many people became pawns, and did not know why they died until they died. The gods and Buddhas clearly looked down at the common people with their eyes open, but turned a blind eye to everything. His Highness said to me, Ah Shu, you will not ask for gods or Buddhas in your next life, just believe me. When everything ends, I just want to lie in His Highness's arms and listen to His Highness call me - Ah Shu for the rest of my life.
