The Black Moonlight's Guide to Playing Innocent

A ruthless, doting powerful minister x a domineering, wicked princess. A tale of two formidable, scheming people clearing their names. The Vice Minister of Revenue embezzles funds and takes his own life. The fragmentary ledger he leaves behind draws the attention of Xiao Baoning, an older unmarried princess with a keen grasp of annual accounts and state finances. The “wicked woman” of Xiezhou, Xiao Baoning, makes a grand entrance in the capital to help her father, who has no emperor's destiny but insists on worrying about imperial affairs, investigate the case. There, she encounters... Her former lover Yuwen Han, whom she has only just divorced: beneath the peach blossoms lies a note inscribed with “A sprig of spring.” He says, “I want to give you a sprig of spring every year.” Her outrageously shameless cousin Wei Ning: “I'll kill Second Master Xie first, then marry Xiao Baoning.” Her seemingly gentle but actually venomous fiancé Xie Ciyan: “Have you seen my fiancée, Xiao Baoning?” Xiao Baoning: “My father was made Prince of the Clan in the seventh year of Mingqian. In the twenty-second year, the late emperor bestowed on him the title of Prince Ying, and that same year he established his own residence. Though I, Xiao Baoning, am but a woman, I swear to be loyal to Xiao Jin and strive for a world of peace and prosperity. Will you come with me?”
