The Treacherous Minister and the Demon Consort

Shen Ning'an has always felt that the world is unfair. Men can enter the imperial court and become officials through the civil service examinations, while women, no matter how talented, are forced to remain confined to the inner quarters. A phoenix meant to soar through the heavens, someone who dreams of becoming a great eagle, could never be content with such a life. So she decides to make a change. Hiding her golden hairpins and red skirts, she disguises herself as a man and sets out on the path of the examinations. She never imagined that dressing as a man would ruin Song Nanshi's life. The abyss of fate seems to have played them a terrible trick: everything was already destined. She becomes prime minister for the sake of power, while Song Nanshi seeks revenge in the depths of the imperial palace, seducing the emperor and opposing her at every turn, vowing to take her life. She is branded a bewitching consort who brings ruin to the realm. And then there is the powerful eunuch, the Nine-Thousand-Year-Old, who clashes with her at every turn. The road ahead is anything but easy. She purges the emperor's court and slays the seductive consort. In a single day, the ruler changes, and thanks to her role in helping him ascend the throne, she naturally comes to wield power over all beneath heaven. But none of it is over yet... Women command the winds and clouds, stirring up storms in the imperial court. Men are merely the finishing touch, there to add a little color.
