I don't know the author's intention yet, but I heard that he will write five books. I first assume that the author wants to write the history of Western philosophy as a novel for people to read, and even popularize philosophy or similar ideas. Therefore, I think the author cannot achieve this goal even if Kant is reincarnated. First of all, the basis of the novel is the character plot, and a systematic philosophical introduction will hinder these, so the introduction must make way for the character plot. Good ideas can indeed be used as embellishments or even enlightenment in novels, but if they hinder the progress of the characters and plots, others must give way, just like when I went to a restaurant to eat egg fried rice, but the chef gave me a plate of seafood, it would be wrong and neither end would be pleased. Just imagine, if there is suddenly a climax and exciting part in the novel, and a lot of text introducing the concept pops up, the reader and the author will feel uncomfortable. If philosophy wants to be introduced systematically, it is destined to be impossible to explain it in a few words, so it is almost certain that it will hinder the rhythm of the novel. This is the problem mentioned at the beginning. Since the author is a doctor of philosophy, I think we should do subtraction rather than addition. I remember reading "Sophie's World" and "The Story of Philosophy" in the past. The philosophical thoughts in it were only general and even incomplete, but the attractive fragmentary introduction and wonderful plot still attracted me. However, compared with the introduction, the novel has more interesting ups and downs and contradictions, such as the author's fantastic expression of the ideas of the Sophist School.
