My Childhood Friend Is a Marquis

Out in the wilderness, young Meng Dan found a little boy who had lost his way. Looking at the delicate child, she exclaimed, “What a gorgeous baby! He looks like he has so much potential.” So young Meng Dan found him a master, gave him a ten-year training plan, then smacked a kiss onto the little boy’s cheek and said, “In ten years, I’ll be waiting for you to marry me. Bye-bye!” The boy blushed, utterly baffled. “Who are you?” Ten years later. “You shameless little runt! You stole my first kiss and now you want to run away!” “You’re so silly. If I hadn’t told you, you’d never have figured it out, would you?” Zhou Xuanhai watched helplessly as Meng Dan took out a red bridal veil and draped it over her own head. “You promised me!” “Go. Pretend we never knew each other.” “But you promised in front of everyone that you’d marry me!” “I was a marquis back then, but now I’m imprisoned, barely able to make it through each day. Why would you...” “No! I’m going to marry you, right here in this dungeon!”
