The Spring Moon in the Han Palace, a Flower That Understands

I was born the daughter of a general, yet I was married into the imperial palace as the late empress’s replacement, becoming the new empress. He once rode with me through Lin'an, wind in our hair, and protected me through one crisis after another. But I always knew none of it was truly mine. I became the one he confided in, but who could ever truly understand me? Everyone in this palace seems shrouded in an invisible, heavy fog, and no one can escape the ties of love. All I have ever wanted is for the people I care about to live in peace, and to be free to be myself. One mystery and upheaval after another taught me that perhaps the greatest helplessness in life is knowing exactly what is happening, yet being powerless to stop it. I thought I knew the whole conspiracy, never realizing that the true scheme was quietly manipulating me all along. Will I ever find the freedom I seek... Spring moon over the Han palace, a flower of understanding. Where shall incense burn, where shall flower bones be buried? A crabapple tree holds the beauty of years gone by. From now on, spring runs deep, and all is lost from sight. My story begins.
