Please Take the Crime Scene Seriously

A bizarre case brings Lu Li, who has been living in semi-seclusion, from a small town to Lin City. She thinks she’ll be able to leave once she solves it, but one problem after another forces her to stay. Is there not a single case committed by a normal person? She really doesn’t want to deal with strange creatures every day! And what’s worse, her companions have absolutely no humanity! Excerpt One: Lu Li: I’m taking tomorrow off. Otherwise, I’ll report you for employing underage workers! Cheng Xi: If you do that, I’ll talk to the Health Department next week and tell them your counseling office doesn’t have a proper business license. Lu Li: Go ahead. I can always move back to the small town, or work as a psychological counselor at headquarters. Excerpt Two: Lu Li: The shadow puppets from last week, the landscape painting from the week before, and all the stuff from even earlier... Can’t I take a break? Do I have to handle all this while investigating cases? Jin Ning: I’m afraid not. The president and vice president both have other things to take care of, and no substitute was arranged. So you’re the only one who can go to the robotics competition this time. If you have a case to investigate while preparing for the competition, I can go in your place. Lu Li: It’s just one more part-time job. I’ll do it! Excerpt Three: Jin Ning: Can you handle this case on your own? I don’t know how to psychologically analyze suspects, but I can help with the lab tests. Lu Li: No need. You should focus on getting better. Jin Ning: All right. I won’t be returning to Yandu for now. Just tell me if you need help. [This novel has no romance. The heroine is a psychological counselor with countless side jobs. There’s nothing she can’t do, even if you can’t imagine it. It can’t be helped: her organization is short-staffed.]
