Begging for an Alliance

Guan Qiong was an orphan adopted from an orphanage by her foster parents. She had lived with them for as long as she could remember. In truth, she was only a servant to their daughter, Su Cihui, and was treated worse than a playmate. Su Cihui attended a private school for the wealthy, and Guan Qiong wasn't allowed to sit in on classes. But she wanted to study, so she took on odd jobs to earn money for books. Through a group chat for temporary workers, Guan Qiong met all sorts of people: young adults whose start-ups had failed, kids who had dropped out of school, and migrant workers drifting from place to place in search of work. In short, they were all unemployed drifters who scraped by doing bit parts in odd jobs. To Guan Qiong, she was no different from them: they were all pitiful people who had been abandoned. She gradually became part of the group, while continuing to read, study, and work hard to improve herself. By the time Su Cihui graduated from university, Guan Qiong had finished reading 200 books in depth and found her direction in life. After moving out of her foster parents' home, she founded the Qi Meng Studio. She invited several influential people she'd met through the temporary-work chat group to join her studio, and they eventually agreed to become allies. Three years later, Guan Qiong became the founder of the Qi Meng Group and appeared on a television interview program. Her story spread widely throughout society. Meanwhile, Su Cihui still hadn't found a suitable job and was sitting at home unemployed. She began to set her sights on Guan Qiong... Guan Qiong's life was full of hardships and setbacks, but she never gave up. In the end, she became an outstanding businesswoman and changed people's traditional views of "jobless idlers." Guan Qiong lived to the age of 75 and never married. After her death, she donated all her assets to the state.
