Turning Stocks into Gold

I’m something of an insider, and I’ve watched so many people lose their minds again and again. When they’re down twenty percent, they keep adding to their positions. At thirty percent, they grit their teeth and hold on. At fifty percent, they pretend they’re dead. Then comes a rebound of less than ten percent, and they sell every last share they own. No matter how high or low the price goes, they no longer have the courage to take back what was theirs. In this market, the scariest thing isn’t losing money. It’s making money the wrong way. It’s like holding something that was never yours: it passes through your hands for a while, then you give away even your own original stake. What many people call experience is just the result of being brutalized by the market until they become twisted and crazed, then cheerfully accepting it and turning worldly and pragmatic. A person’s character is the key to their fate. It’s engraved in their bones, and changing it is no easy task. Have you ever tried to like someone you hate? Yes, perhaps you can manage it. When you become the person you once hated, you slowly begin to like yourself. Chapter 1: Making a Name at the National Tournament Chapter 2: A Head-On Clash, Risking Death to Survive Chapter 3: Brothers United, Escaping Death by a Hair Life is like a play, and a book is like life.
