The Celestial Master's Dragon and Tiger Talisman

According to Records of the Han Celestial Masters, before the founding Celestial Master Zhang Daoling died, he entrusted his son Zhang Heng with the scriptures and registers, seal, and sword, saying: "I received the supreme Dao directly from the Most High. These texts govern the Three and Five Steps and the Dipper Walk, and are the pivot of the Orthodox Unity. They shall be passed down through the generations to one son, who will succeed me. They must not be passed on to anyone who is not a descendant of our clan." From then on, these three sacred objects passed down from the founding Celestial Master became the proof of succession for every generation of Celestial Masters. Among them, the registers and scriptures were passed down through generations of Celestial Masters, recording strange tales and unusual accounts from across the world, as well as cultivation techniques and sacred incantations. They contain all that lies beneath the vault of heaven and above the earth. These registers vanished after the death of Celestial Master Zhang Yuchu. They are called the Dragon-Tiger Celestial Master Registers.
