The Prosperous Tang Dynasty: A Princess's Tale

This story follows seventeen years in the life of a legitimate princess during the prosperous Tang Dynasty, revealing the royal family’s untold secrets. The precocious and gentle princess lost her mother at six and was raised by Consort Shu. As a result, she grew close to Consort Shu’s son, Sanlang. Later, she also befriended Jiulang’s study companion and the Crown Prince’s trusted aide. Her unexpected husband is a dashing, carefree young gentleman. She thought he was a wealthy idler, content to enjoy the honors of a duke, so why is he caught up in the struggle for the throne? She has four older brothers, each with a very different temperament: The Crown Prince, noble and imposing, yet with a few odd quirks. The third prince, gentle, perceptive, and handsome as a jade tree. The fourth prince, plump and seemingly honest, but sly beneath the surface. The ninth prince, the most approachable of them all, but difficult to read. Which of them will prevail in the brutal struggle for the throne and become the final heir? For the princess, who is closer to her: her full brother, or the brother who was there for her as she grew up? A romance with a blend of sweetness and heartbreak, along with court intrigue. The story starts slowly but gets more exciting as it goes on. The male and female leads are both pure in mind and body, and intelligent. The supporting characters are vivid and fully realized.
