Forced to Marry a Foolish Husband

"She's awake!" In the rear courtyard of the Yin residence, in the third young lady's bedroom, a well-preserved noblewoman with fair, delicate skin was helped to the bedside by a maid. Her beautiful, radiant face was filled with anticipation, and tears of excitement shimmered in her lovely eyes. "Yanyan, you're finally awake!" Madam Yin and the prime minister, Yin Chengzhi, had four children together. The first three were sons, and only the youngest was a daughter, who had always been their precious darling. Madam Yin especially doted on her daughter. The girl's looks came mostly from her mother, yet she had surpassed her in beauty. Madam Yin was already renowned for her looks in the capital, but her daughter was even more stunning, so beautiful that other women avoided her for fear of being put to shame. The girl was certainly beautiful, but her temperament... left much to be desired! The day before yesterday, Yin Yan had sneaked out again to waylay the young master of the Zuo family, Zuo Yihan. She wasn't carried home in a sedan chair until the afternoon, fast asleep inside it. Madam Yin wouldn't let anyone wake her, and had a few matrons carry her gently back to her room. Who could have guessed that Yin Yan would sleep all the way until now? Hearing a voice beside her, the girl lying in bed thought someone was calling her. She slowly turned her stiff, numb neck toward the sound and looked at the noblewoman before her. After thinking it over, she still had to conclude that she really didn't know her!
