My Neighbor Is Hongjun

Feng Yi: Fellow Daoist Hongjun, what is merit?

Hongjun: Anything that benefits the evolution of Heaven and Earth is a good deed, and good deeds bring virtue. Comprehending the Dao and seeking its mysteries is a good deed; teaching and guiding all living beings is a good deed. If you can forge a new path of your own, that is a great deed and great virtue!

This is a story about starting out as Hongjun’s neighbor, then struggling to survive and seek the Dao in the savage, untamed age of the Primordial World!

It’s a Primordial World story, but with some of my own interpretations and new settings. After all, Chinese mythology is vast and complex, and the Primordial World genre seems to have become rather fixed, so I hope to introduce a few small innovations. Feel free to point out anything that doesn’t work, and let’s agree to disagree where we differ!
