Our Vow Still Stands, but There's Nowhere to Send This Letter

Shen Ruyi, former empress of the Dazhao dynasty, was deposed for failing to bear an heir. But she had only been willing to give up her throne because her adoptive father, Jiang Hailan, former leader of the Canghai Hengliu sect, was murdered by traitors within the sect working alongside outsiders. She and the emperor had loved each other deeply, but were forced to part. It remained a heartache she carried within her. Xiao Yan, Chen Linlu, and the others in the sect had been her childhood companions, but with so much time gone by, how could she know whether they were still trustworthy? With traitors within the sect, other scheming schools beyond its walls, and the Xibei Lisha watching like a tiger waiting to pounce, she sailed these turbulent waters. “Though we once swore our love beneath the mountains, I have no way to send you a letter.”
