I Must Be Dreaming

“I’ll definitely be back!”

Li Mengyang soon flew out of the atmosphere, out of the solar system, out of the Milky Way, out of the observable universe, beyond the light cone, out of the universe, and out of... the dream!

Li Mengyang had never dreamed in his life. But the first time he ever did, something went wrong. Everything in the dream was so bizarre: planes ran on rocket launchers, bicycles could fly through the air, rice cookers grew giant pineapples, two orioles sang among the green willows, a line of bombs flew west to the heavens, Jing Ke assassinated the King of Qin, and the King of Qin ran away clutching his leg. Since Mulan had no “older brother,” she could join the army. Fish swim in water, birds fly in the sky. Huh! Wait! Isn’t all of this perfectly normal? Had I woken up? Overcome with excitement, Li Mengyang shed tears made of Lanzhou noodles! Ah! I really don’t want to dream anymore!
