Back Again, Still Young at Heart

The cherished heiress returns, only to face lost memories and endless darkness. The powerful head of the family seems gentle and courteous on the surface, but is actually devious. He affectionately calls her A Wan and treats her with the warmth of family. He says she is his younger sister, and he truly treats her impeccably. Little by little, she accepts the idea that he is her brother. “Gulls skim the clear stream beneath the moon; how many dreams beneath the snowy reeds?” The cold young man in her memories calls Mu Wan “A Yue.” Unlike her brother and everyone around her, he calls her something different. To Xu Chao, Mu Wan is one of a kind. Mu Wan once told him, “Xu Chao, you have such a lovely name! It sounds like the rising morning sun, shining upon all things.” The young man was taken aback. He had never heard anyone speak so highly of his name. But was there anyone who truly cared about him? “I’ll call you A Yue from now on!” Mu Wan didn’t know what Xu Chao’s name meant to him, but Xu Chao knew better than anyone. When he was powerless to move forward in a dark corner, it was Mu Wan, like the bright moon in the night, who drove away the darkness and brought him light he had long missed. Later on, everything changed. Nothing was as it had been. Mu Wan left Xu Chao, but he still found his girl again and gave her the very best of everything, devoting his whole life to her.
