The Eighth Density Era

The novel The Eighth Density Era mainly portrays the unique working environment and mobile nature of Chinese engineers’ jobs. They spend much of the year away from home, constantly on the move, with no regular work or personal lives. To outsiders, Chinese engineers seem like visitors from another world. They are like clouds drifting through the sky, thrown off balance by the slightest breeze. For them, finding balance and relief amid the pressures of work and emotion in a constantly shifting life is an especially difficult challenge. Faced with mobile work and separation from their loved ones, how do they remain at their posts and restrain their feelings, making selfless contributions for a brighter future for their country?
