Great Qin, I’m Coming Clean: I’m a Big Shot

Zhao Li fell off a Terracotta Warrior and, when he woke up, found himself in the Qin dynasty. He'd planned to make his mark in this glorious era, but discovered that his stomach was growling with hunger.

Once he'd finally managed to fill his belly, he realized just how hard people in ancient times had it.

So he asked Emperor Qin Shi Huang, “Boss, have you ever eaten pork with pickled cabbage and glass noodles? Or watermelon? Or hot pot?”

The emperor had never heard of any of these things, let alone tasted them. So he asked Zhao Li, “Where can I find all this food you mentioned? I want to try every last one!”

After all, the emperor thought it was embarrassing that there were things in the world he hadn't eaten.

And so, for the sake of a good meal, Zhao Li talked the emperor into sending expeditions to the Western Regions and even the Americas!
