The Emperor Wants to Draw My Lot Every Day

“It’s time for the thrilling moment when I draw a name card again, my beloved consort. How about I assign you the best chef in the imperial kitchen?” “Really? ... Actually, never mind. I’ve had indigestion lately and no appetite. Sorry, Your Majesty. Why not go next door to Empress Sister?” A month later, Shangguan Yuanyuan was diagnosed with a pregnancy pulse. “What? I can get pregnant just by arm wrestling? Your Majesty, care to explain?” Every day after court, a certain man would use drawing a name card as an excuse to visit her chambers and arm-wrestle her. She won every time. After confirming the pregnancy pulse several times, Shangguan Yuanyuan could only think: Damn it ... I’ve been tricked. She chased him all the way to the Hall of Diligent Governance, brandishing a feather duster. “How can arm wrestling get someone pregnant? You shameless dog of a man, explain yourself! Hmm?” The man didn’t even blush or break a sweat. Amid the ministers’ loud debate, he openly admitted, “That’s right! I’m afraid of my wife! Any objections?” The ministers: “We wouldn’t dare, Your Majesty. Whatever you say!” Shangguan Yuanyuan: “Stop sucking up, you shameless dog! That won’t work on me!” "Shangguan Yuanyuan transmigrated into a book. In the story, the male lead, the emperor, was a bloodthirsty tyrant who never indulged in women. So why has everything changed now that she’s here? Weren’t they supposed to say that beauty ruined the nation and that the harem couldn’t interfere in politics? Why does this shameless man cling to her every day after court, and even insist on carrying her to court? And Empress, Noble Consort, you need to get a grip! Aren’t you supposed to fight in the harem? Compete for favor? Can you do anything besides play mahjong and flatter her in front of the emperor? Shangguan Yuanyuan: I’m exhausted. I’m clearly the lowest-ranking Beauty, but I’m worrying like an empress, and my son is even going to be named crown prince. Your Majesty, could you stop drawing my name card and pick someone else? I’m tired of looking at you! The Emperor: Tired of looking at me? That’s easy. Let’s switch places. I’ll be the Beauty, and you can draw my name card, how about that?"
