Life and Death at the River of Oblivion

Excluding the Buddhists, the underworld's Ten Halls are as follows: Jiang Ziwen, head of the Ten Halls, resides in Guangming Hall. He strips the three souls and seven spirits from ghosts with ulterior motives and examines their memories. The Second Hall's Li Wen resides in Jianghai Chao and oversees the reincarnation of sea creatures. Li Wen never wanted to get involved in underworld affairs. The main reason was that he was afraid of ghosts. The Third Hall's Water God resides in Qinghai City and keeps many living creatures. No one thought there could be living beings in the underworld, but the Water God made it happen. The Fourth Hall's Lu Dai resides in Plum Grove. Lu Dai oversees the reincarnation of little demons and monsters that have gained sentience. The Fifth Hall's Fire God resides in Yama Hall. With his unfortunate looks, he is in charge of interrogating sinful little ghosts. The Fire God has many capable subordinates, and everyone jokingly calls him the center of the underworld's operations. The Sixth Hall's Mountain God resides in Bianqin. Everyone assumed the Mountain God was a rough-and-tumble man, but who knew he had such deft hands? He made many rare and exquisite clothes, delicacies, hairpins, and jewelry. The Seventh Hall's Dong He took over after the original Stone God was killed. He was once a strongman in the mortal world and now resides in Taishan E. He holds no real authority, mostly interrogating little ghosts who have committed crimes in the mortal world. He's basically a worker under the King of Hell. The Eighth Hall's Earth God resides on Shangbi Street. The Earth God oversees the operations of the entire underworld's commercial district and is its richest resident. The Ninth Hall's Ice God resides on the shores of the Cold Sea. The Ice God never wanted to manage underworld affairs, but eventually couldn't take everyone's scolding any longer and volunteered to take charge of punishments, which later became the Eighteen Hells. The Tenth Hall's God of Thought resides in Kongyu Pavilion. The God of Thought established a series of rules for the underworld and took on many disciples.
