The Fujin Stirs Up Trouble Every Day

Ye Lanhui, a method actor and little-known star, lands a role in a Qing dynasty palace drama, playing the principal wife of Aisin-Gioro Yintang, the Kangxi Emperor's ninth son. To prepare, she reads extensively about the period, hoping to delve into her character's psychology and behavior. But in history, Dong'e, the Ninth Prince's wife, is practically a nobody. Ye Lanhui despairs when she realizes that she can only imagine how to portray her. Then Ye Lanhui wakes up one day and discovers, horrified, that she has transmigrated! And she's now Dong'e, the Ninth Prince's wife! The year is the first month of the fortieth year of Kangxi's reign, and she has been married to the Ninth Prince for less than a month. Dong'e is on her period, and as a virtuous principal wife, she's supposed to arrange for the Ninth Prince to spend the night with another woman. “What kind of divine from-the-start scenario is this?” Ye Lanhui takes a deep breath and makes up her mind: under no circumstances will she put a cuckold's hat on herself.
