The Theatrical Lord Shen

Empress Ning: “During the Earl's heir's wedding, rioters spooked his horse, causing him to fall and get injured. Was this not due to your negligence?” Prefect of Shuntian: “I am guilty.” Consort Kang: “The imperial physician said my younger sister nearly died in childbirth because she went into labor early after being startled.” Prefect of Shuntian: “I am guilty.” Palace servant: “When the Prefect of Shuntian was being beaten with a cane today, a guard accidentally splashed blood onto the High Priest's robe.” Prefect of Shuntian: “...I... am... guilty!” Having narrowly escaped death, the Prefect of Shuntian had just one thought: Being alive really wasn't worth it... “The illegitimate young master marries a beautiful, rich woman and rises to the pinnacle of life!!!” This is a fictional historical setting, so don't scrutinize the dynasty or official titles too closely. Just enjoy the fun of it.￣□￣||
