The Second Cosmic War: Donghuang Zhiruo

This book is a sequel to The Realm of Xuan Yu. It mainly follows Beidi Tian Xuan, who is sent by Nuwa to the mortal realm to expose Jin Chi Yan's conspiracy. This sets off a tangled love-hate relationship between Jin Zhi Ruo and Jin Huang. Their romance is known as “Dong Huang Zhi Ruo.” Jin Zhi Ruo enters the Jin Group undercover as Wang Ruo. After her identity is discovered, Jin Huang tries to protect her by devising a plan to force her to leave. Beidi sees through him and reveals the truth, earning Jin Huang the label of a scumbag. Jin Chi Yan decides that destroying Jin Huang's capacity to love is the best way forward. The two lovers then fight each other, both having lost their feelings.

Beidi believes that the Jin Group has never managed to develop soul-returning technology because an undercover agent has been sabotaging its research. In the end, Zhi Ruo discovers that the Jin Group is merely a cover for Jin Chi Yan, who has an entirely different goal. He has more than one plan: if one is thwarted, there are second and third steps. This continues until the Second Interstellar War, when Jin Huang's death breaks the seal on Zhi Ruo's feelings. She uses all her spiritual power to save him and becomes a little golden dragon. Jin Huang remembers that he once loved her, so he willingly splits into six incarnations and enters the mortal world to undergo thirty-six trials of love and regain his capacity to love. By chance, two of the incarnations are reborn as girls.

After Tian Xuan returns to the heavens and restores the spirit pearl, the five great dragon clans unite, and Tian Xuan fulfills the mission of the prophesied dragon. The clans celebrate their unification, then Xuan Yu is reincarnated and Feng Yu gets married. After Zhi Ruo regains her immortal form, she descends to the mortal world to stay by their side and falls in love with all six of them. “You were a scumbag in your past life. In this life, I'm destined to be the heartbreaker.”
