When He Came Like the Wind

That year, transferring to a new school brought him someone very important. The year Han Xu met Su Xia Nuan was the year Su Xia Nuan lost someone she had been close to since childhood. He kept coming close, then pulling away, but he wanted to stay by her side forever. “Nuannuan, do you remember when we first met?” “I do. You said I looked really funny.” I don’t say pretty things. When I want to hug you, I do. I want to stay by your side from now on, too. I have a heart that beats for you and a love that burns hot. When the time is right, I’ll give you everything. I loved you when I was sixteen, and I’ll love you in the years to come, because you were my first love. Xu Yan watched her walk away and spoke through the bitterness in his heart. “In my next life, I’ll make sure I’m born a boy and meet you sooner, before anyone else gets a chance.” That was their youth, brimming with love, and even carrying a few regrets.
