Taking It Easy in the Nineties

Female lead's introduction:

In her previous life, Zhou Yuyu worked herself to death. As she lay dying, her mother was leading the whole family in demanding that the doctors pull the plug as soon as possible, so they could use her inheritance to send her nephew overseas to study.

She died with a broken heart.

After death, she transmigrated into the body of the family’s pampered only child, her “cousin,” and discovered that “he” was actually her female cousin, disguised as a man!

Her “cousin” had seemed to live a charmed life, but in reality, her parents didn’t love her, and she’d grown up suffering like a little cabbage in bitter waters. She also had a hidden illness and might not live much longer!

It was hell mode from the start. Zhou Yuyu flopped right down where she stood. Whatever, she’d already had enough of life in her previous one. She might as well just muddle through this one!

In the nineties, when everyone was scrambling to make money and keep up with the times, Zhou Yuyu lazily lived her life as an unambitious couch potato.

But even a couch potato can’t just lie around and wait to die if she’s in the wrong place. Someone insisted on carrying, coaxing, and cajoling her into leaping over the dragon gate with him: “I’ll make sure you can lie back in comfort and win by my side!”

Male lead's introduction:

Gets jealous of himself.

Cheats on himself.

Creates his own problems, then solves them himself.

Completes an entire romance all by himself, just by imagining things.

Without a heart of gold (perverted), steel (mentally ill), diamond (unreasonable), stone (obsessive and clingy), and sheer willfulness (doing whatever strikes him), he never could have pulled it off.

Male lead: I’m going crazy wanting to date Yuyu!

Yuyu: Move! You’re blocking my spot on the couch.
