Ink-Stained Memories of Longing

Love at first sight was part of a plan all along. Their kindred natures bound them in a doomed fate. That year, by sheer coincidence, he wore white while she wore a touch of makeup. At dusk, by the lakeside, their brief encounter became something she could never forget. In that fleeting moment when her heart stirred, she forgot that it had all been a mistake from the start. Flowers fade and the moon wanes, wasting away the years. She lowers her eyes and murmurs, her words gathering at the tip of her pen. She pours out her tender feelings for him in ink, only to realize that remembering this longing is all in vain. All their twists of fate could only end in those final words: “Hang Mo, I regret it.”
