That Hamster Came Out of the Abyss

What's the most important thing when you arrive in another world?

Some say strength, some say luck, and some say a powerful golden finger.

But for an ordinary hamster with no strength, lousy luck, and no powerful golden finger, there's only one answer: money.

So it came to Kalan, opened the Worry-Free Tavern, took in some orphans, hired a few wandering bards to tell stories from novels like Battle Through the Heavens and Stellar Transformation, researched recipes, created fruit drinks, made fried chicken, and established the largest intelligence network in the entire otherworld.

Before long, it was making money. But it seemed to have forgotten its original purpose. It kept expanding its business, upgrading the tavern into a music bar, hiring more wandering bards to tell it stories, researching better food, and selling more novel merchandise.

The Worry-Banishing Wine business grew ever larger, reaching farther and farther afield.

Then one day, an angel disguised as an evil spirit descended into the world, leaving the continent in ruins. Only then did it remember what it was supposed to do. It hurriedly gathered those it had named in the past and formed the First Army to Fight the Evil Spirits.
