Farewell to the Fallen

The moment I awakened, red and black shimmered across me. They were my soul. My eyes lowered toward the four directions, red eyes and surging black energy, while withered-leaf butterflies circled my body. A blood butterfly touched my brow, like a voice from hell. I brushed aside a wisp of black energy and let it coil around my palm. With a delicate pinch, I plucked down the blood butterfly. In an instant, blood spattered. Worms only infest damp, rotten corners. I am no filthy water.
