The Princess Consort of the Otherworldly Jin King

He was the sixteenth prince of the Yun Kingdom, a famed general known as the God of War. Cold and aloof, he had grown up in the military and was undefeated on the battlefield, striking fear into the hearts of his enemies.

In the twenty-sixth year of Yunyang, he was ordered to lead an army against the powerful Rujiu tribe in the northwest. He swiftly crushed their vanguard, but while the battlefield was being cleared, a sixteen-year-old Rujiu girl shot him with a longbow, striking him squarely in the heart and leaving him at death's door.

She was the eldest daughter of the Rujiu tribe's Third Consort, the Seventh Princess Rujiu Qiqige. Fearless and inexperienced, she charged alone onto the battlefield and shot the enemy general through the heart before turning and leaving.

The Rujiu tribe later sued for peace and, to demonstrate their submission, married her to him. On their wedding night, she slapped him and followed it with a point-blank crossbow shot.

He, in turn, took her to the military camp, where he used her and kept her in the dark.

War bound the two of them together, but this was only the beginning.

Caught in the Yun Kingdom's struggle for the throne and the battle for northwest trade, their political marriage between two kingdoms was as precarious as walking on thin ice. Swept up in the storm at the heart of it all, they weathered more than a decade of upheaval at the hands of fate, until at last they witnessed the unification of the realm.
