Waiting for the Moon in the West Wing: I Have Met the Factory Director

The instant Lu Guanguan fell, she thought, “Maybe it’s for the best if things end this way. I won’t have to struggle so hard in this life anymore...” Her body sank slowly, her consciousness grew fainter... and she stopped fighting to stay alive... Lu Wanwan, the Right Chancellor’s eldest daughter, slipped and fell into the water, nearly losing her life. After waking, her temperament changed completely: she became violent and mad, and turned against everyone, even her own family. People said the blood-red mark on her forehead, left by her injury, meant she was the reincarnation of a wicked consort from a former dynasty. When the emperor chose his consorts, he alone passed over Lu Wanwan, yet made an exception for his younger sister, forcing her to marry Mu Moqing, the chief eunuch of the Eastern Intelligence Bureau. “Mu Moqing...” “I’m here.” “Do you still remember the west chamber, where we waited for the moon?” “I’ll never forget it in this life.” “I often think, wouldn’t it be wonderful if life were like a play? It wouldn’t matter how hard things were at first, as long as everything could be made right in the end.” “Lu Wanwan...” “Are you calling me?” “Of course I am.” “If you’re willing, I’ll protect you for the rest of your life.” “You’re protecting Lu Wanwan, not me.” “No matter who you are, if you’re Cui Yingying seeing off her lover at the pavilion ten miles away, then I’ll be Zhang Junrui, returning after passing the examinations to marry you. If you don’t want to be Lu Wanwan, then I won’t be Mu Moqing either.” .
