The Ming Dynasty Judicial Log

A story about a girl who transmigrates from the Ming dynasty and a young coroner joining forces to solve cases and bring down the emperor’s lackeys. On one trip to the capital, Shang Xu picked up a female guard. By the time she left, several more people had joined her. From then on, they traveled south to Jiangnan and north through the country, investigating wrongful convictions and fighting for justice. The first time Chen Wen met Shang Xu, she was in a pitch-black prison. “Little brother, don’t say I didn’t warn you. This is the death row.” The words “death row” scared her half to death, and nearly got the culprit in the next cell choked to death on hay. The second time they met, he went onstage in her place at an auction. “There’s no time to explain! Run!” His timely help made her feel grateful to him for coming to her rescue in a difficult moment. It also prompted his fiancée and future father-in-law to bid for him from below the stage. The third time they met, Chen Wen and the young coroner, who could be either shamelessly cheeky or razor-sharp, never parted again. Chen Wen, a clever, beautiful, highly skilled guard and adviser, immune to shameless antics, vs. Shang Xu, a handsome, well-connected, powerful coroner and imperial censor, immune to setbacks. A destined, heart-stopping first meeting; an inseparable journey with neither ever outdone; and a happy ending spent growing old together in peace.
