Moving Forward with a Faint Smile

An Qian has always championed staying single and has never been in a relationship. But as she gets older, people around her start setting her up on blind dates. When she turns 27, the matchmaking begins in earnest. Zhou Xingzhi: “I think we could try seeing each other.” An Qian: “I don't think that's necessary. To be honest, I'm against marriage. I only came today to get my elders off my back.” Zhou Xingzhi: “Miss An, let me introduce myself properly. My name is Zhou Xingzhi, and I'm 28. My parents have passed away, and my only close relative is my grandfather. I'm currently at the helm of the Zhou Group. I've never dated or been married, and I have no bad habits. I was serious when I said I wanted to try seeing you, and I gave it careful thought. You can say I was attracted to your looks, or that it was love at first sight. The only thing I can promise you now is this: once I, Zhou Xingzhi, decide someone is the one, I'll give her my whole life.” In Zhou Xingzhi's eyes, marriage was simply a milestone everyone reached at a certain age. As for whom he would reach it with, he thought An Qian was just the right person. In short, it's the story of a cool, devoted CEO gradually sweeping an aloof, marriage-averse beauty off her feet and into the halls of matrimony.
