Old Tianjin Elegy

Everyone in Old Jincheng knows the Gu family has a willful young lady. At five, she kicked the Tang family’s young master into a pond. At seven, she made her tutor so furious that he went into seclusion. At twelve, she dressed herself and her maid as young men and went to a brothel. Yet this little menace is still doted on by Master Gu. In the strict and proper Great Yue, she brazenly declared at the General’s residence that she would marry Mu Chenfeng, the eldest son of the Mu family. She was only fourteen then, while he had just turned eighteen.
