The Flower of the Spirit

He and she were originally bound together, one spirit as the flower and the other as the leaf. They had thought they could share a world as flower and leaf, just as they had promised. But when she awoke from her slumber, she had forgotten everything.

She forgot the past, forgot the lover with whom she had once been born as a pair, and threw herself headlong into a conspiracy.

She had thought it was love, but only on the verge of death did she realize she had failed as a celestial spirit. Like any ordinary person, she had been deceived by her own eyes. In despair, she turned and plunged into a sea of flames.

One person died and was destroyed, but left behind a curse that entangled everyone in its wake.

Some were filled with regret, some endured endless torment, and some skillfully pulled the strings. Some became so deeply trapped that they no longer even knew their own names, while others loved with wholehearted sincerity, willing to fly into the flames like moths.
