The Xia Family’s Daughter Rules the World

[This is the story of a heroine with no ambition who accidentally rises to the top and gains power over the world] [It’s also the story of an honest, sharp-tongued heroine who accidentally becomes a despised jinx] [And, above all, it’s a curious tale about a heroine who thinks she’s mysterious, only to discover that the hero is even more mysterious than she is!] * Xia Zongze was beside himself with joy. His daughter wasn’t stupid or mute, and today she had finally spoken. But... what was with the jinx-like things she said the moment she opened her mouth?! When his daughter was only a few months old, she looked almost like a child with brain damage. She didn’t cry or smile, her eyes were vacant, and she drooled! She seemed so much slower than other children her age that he thought she was an idiot. When she turned one and was old enough to talk, she still wouldn’t say a word. He started thinking she was not only stupid but mute, too. At last, he got his wish and heard her speak, only for her to say something astonishing! That day, he was carrying his daughter out to have a couple of drinks at the teahouse. A friend came running over from across the street, saying he would join him. Just then, his quiet little girl suddenly pointed at the man and cried, “Fly, fly~” And guess what happened next? The man really did fly! How did he fly? A carriage hit him and sent him flying! He broke four ribs and was still bedridden to this day. After that, his daughter got the nickname “the jinx.” He did his best to tell people she was a fairy sent down from heaven who could predict the future, but in truth, even he didn’t believe his own flimsy lie. The older she got, the more unusual she became. When she was clearheaded, she was astonishingly clever. When she was muddled, she was so stupid it made your heart ache. Sigh... I’ll stop here. The more I say, the more it brings me to tears.
