I Was Tricked Into Marriage by a Fox Demon

Mu Chuan Nai deeply regretted it. She’d been tricked into a marriage! Well, being tricked into marriage was bad enough, but the one who’d tricked her was a notorious fox spirit who had cultivated for a thousand years.

With the wedding date drawing closer, the quiet, comfortable life she’d enjoyed for twenty years came to an end. Every day, she was either fighting monsters with the fox spirit or being relentlessly flirted with by him.

Chuan Nai said, “My lord Fox Spirit, please let me go! I’m still just a baby, you know. I only just graduated and finally got a chance to interview with a big company, and you’ve ruined it for me!”

Ye Ming shot her a sidelong glance and pinched her cheeks, puffed up like soup dumplings. “What’s wrong, little girl? Is that interviewer better-looking than me? It’s just a lowly office job. Help me break the forbidden spell, and I’ll give you your freedom.”

“Really?” Chuan Nai eyed him suspiciously.

“A gentleman’s word is as good as gold.”

Chuan Nai: “(At last, when everything is about to end, she can finally breathe a sigh of relief) Big Fox Spirit, can you set me free now?”

Ye Ming: “(Sipping his wine, unconcerned) Oh?”

And then he said nothing more.

Chuan Nai: “You stinking fox! You promised you’d set me free when it was all over!”

Ye Ming: “(Smirking, he takes out the contract and calmly tears it up, then changes the subject, pretending to be innocent and harmless) You need proof to make a claim. Where’s your proof? Where is it?”

That stinking fox was practically begging to be smacked...

Chuan Nai: “You stinking fox...”

Later, they sat together on the rooftop, gazing at the moon. On the night of the full moon, he resumed his true form as a demon. His stunning silver hair became the defining image of her youth.

He held her tightly in his arms and said, “Nai, at last I can protect you day and night.”
