Zhensheng

# Reader advisory: Read before starting

# Cantonese dialect

# The leads are six years apart in age

# The male lead is not a virgin. If you dislike that, move along

# The leads are both rebellious street kids, one a prince and one a princess. Their values are extremely down-to-earth and realistic

The proper synopsis:

Whenever people see a young woman approaching Cheng Zhensheng, they immediately think, “She’s trying to marry her way to the top,” and roll their eyes at her.

But when they see Feng Meilai walking alongside Cheng Zhensheng, all they can think is that the two are a perfect match, made for each other.

Fate is a strange thing. No one can say for sure who owes whom between A Sheng and A Mei, or who loves the other more.

Is he indebted to her family for all the favors they’ve done him, or does she owe him too much for always being there for her? Neither of them can explain it.

Love is like borrowing a book: you borrow and return favors, and affection follows. One twist and turn after another, and suddenly a romance is born.

The lousy synopsis:

My brother’s friend has a thing for me, but I think he’s an old man
