His Highness Fell into a Vat of Jealousy

They say Prince Yan is not only hideously ugly, but a bloodthirsty monster as well. He’s been rejected by eight prospective brides, and no one dares marry him. With no other choice, he went to a tomb and carried off a woman to be his princess consort. Since he dug her up himself, he’d better spoil her, even if he has to kneel to do it. Before long, he’s spoiling her rotten. When his consort first went to the palace, he made a special point of warning the emperor, “My consort is kindhearted and innocent. Don’t let anyone bully her.” The emperor: “...” Bully her? Who was the one who drove the imperial consort, supposedly the palace’s greatest champion, to the brink of hanging herself? When his consort went to the military camp, he lectured his generals at length. “My consort is delicate and frail. Make sure you protect her.” The generals: “...” Who was the one who stormed the enemy camp alone and cut off their commander’s head? In Prince Yan’s eyes, his consort is a delicate, kindhearted flower who needs protection. If anyone dares bully her, he’ll fight them to the death! If she bullies someone else, he conveniently chooses not to see it!
