Leaning on Your Shoulder

The first time Wen Sheng saw him, she thought, “Where did this heavenly beauty come from?”

Mr. Shen was refined and gentle, and he could play the pipa.

When she saw him again, he was powerful, elegant, and distinguished. She thought she’d found herself a powerful backer and could finally rest easy.

But Mr. Shen was merciless. In his first few months as the new boss, he started by acquiring her little company.

After enduring endless exploitation and oppression, Wen Sheng decided to run off with a fortune. But he took her hand and rested it on her round belly, saying, “Come to my side. From now on, you call the shots.”

Two years into their marriage, the next day at a gala, a reporter dared to ask, “President Shen, people say you and your wife have been at odds for years. Is that true?”

He replied, “It is. She and I each do our own thing.”

She stared at him in shock. “Didn’t you say I was the one you’d always cherished?”

…

At first, she had a fiery temper and only had eyes for his breathtaking good looks. She turned over a new leaf and became his perfect little wife, serving him tea and taking care of his every need.

But that was too much for her to keep up. When his assistant came to tell her, “Mr. Shen has…”

“He ran off again?!”

Damn it, she might as well give up on a man like that!
