The novel is well written, but the female lawyer is a major poisonous point. It's not that her defense of the suspect is vicious, it's professional ethics, but her subsequent attitude towards the protagonist is arrogant, childish, and doesn't know how to repay a favor. She even has to put conditions on helping her best friend's boyfriend with a little effort... I hope she won't be the heroine.
