A Springtime Daughter of the Farm

Picking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern hedge, I leisurely admire the mountain spring; at sunset, I keep the cooking smoke company, and deep into the night, I listen to the water babble.

After transmigrating, I became a poor little farm girl in ancient times.

Our house was bare, just a few tiny thatched huts where you could see the stars through the roof.

Fortunately, my family got along well. Though our home was small and rundown, it was warm and cozy.

The heroine keeps her feet on the ground, isn’t afraid of hardship or hard work, and doesn’t set her sights too high.

But as the saying goes, “Flowers planted with care may not bloom, while willows planted by chance may grow into shade.”

One day, this little farm girl with no grand ambitions became famous throughout the land.

She not only led her family to a better life, but also found a happy marriage and became a winner in life.
