Finally found another doomsday novel about natural disasters

There are two questions in the first chapter, 1. Why does the protagonist know how to dismantle the bus battery? Do normal people understand these technologies? 2. What does the author think is the temperature required for a human body to be completely cremated? Just a small fire, do you want to roast human flesh? If you don't pay attention to such a simple question, so does this book.
